Understanding what journalists want from us: how to devise relevant stories; create and segment media lists; and deal with time constraints and prioritisation.
Week Two: October 17th 2023, 5pm-6:30pm (UK)
Writing PR pitches: how to write compelling subject lines, structure your pitches, deal with objections, and ask for that link.
Week Three: October 24th 2023, 5pm-6:30pm (UK)
Expert comments: how to create expert comments that journalists will want to include in their stories, and manage journalist requests via platforms like HARO and Qwoted.

Who should attend this workshop series?
This series has been designed primarily for PR folks who are responsible for generating coverage on top-tier media sites.
Please note: the focus here is on pitching journalists, not ideation. If you’re keen to learn how to come up with ideas for Digital PR activity, this course isn’t for you. Instead we’d recommend you check out Hannah’s Ideation for Digital PR Online Workshop Series.
Also, folks who work primarily on other types of SEO link building activity – i.e. where journalists from media outlets aren’t their target audience probably won’t get so much out of the course.

Testimonials
Here are some lovely things people who’ve previously attended our courses and training sessions have said:
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever taken so many notes on a course before! Everything Hannah covered was super relevant to my role and I really appreciated her providing context for both agency and client side – as my role is client side, I was a little concerned it might not be so relevant. But it was – thank you!
~Sarah Marsh, Adimo
Hannah was excellent. Knowledgeable and engaging, she really brought the course to life and kept everyone’s attention in the room. I’m not usually one to ask questions in these environments but the atmosphere was very open and that allowed me to put a question to her, which she answered very comprehensively.
~Joe Cox, Superb Digital
I just wanted to say a big thank you to Hannah for hosting a fantastic training session last week at BrightonSEO. I was able to learn so much and she also helped me boot out some of the imposter syndrome I think a lot of us PRs face.
~Andy Clowes, Distract
Working with Britt was such a pleasure! Our team had little to no experience when it came to getting quoted in the media, creating and implementing a content strategy, strategically publishing articles the media would like, connecting with journalists, etc. Britt filled in all the holes, and we learned a ton from her. Beyond education, she got us serious results. Because of her, our website was linked to from major publications and quoted in top-tier media outlets time and time again.
~Elizabeth Shutty, Owner, Libre Media
Britt is one of the most skilled outreach professionals I have ever worked with. She has an amazing understanding of how to build relationships with bloggers and media sites. The close-knit relationships she created allowed her to provide great publisher insight to the content production team allowing for more successful campaigns.
~Ryan Sammy, CNBC
Working with Britt to train our team was everything we were hoping for and a little bit more. She listened intently to our deficiencies as an agency, asked great questions to clarify, and was able to build and deliver a set of training sessions directly in-line with our needs. I’ve worked with a ton of subject matter experts throughout the years- Britt is at the top of the heap. I’m eager for the next time we are able to partner with her!
~Chad Kearns, VP Agency Services, Portent
